Students in need of financial aid are feeling the crush of anxiety over delays. The FAFSA (the Free Application for Federal Student Aid) has undergone some major changes aimed to make the application process simpler, but its roll-out has been a bit bumpy. For many students, the financial aid package they are offered will be the deciding factor for which school they attend, so the federal government’s delay in releasing students’ financial information has left applicants worrying about how to make the right choice.
In response to the delays, many public universities have decided to postpone their enrollment date. This is the date by which students must reply to their offers of admission. Aristotle Circle is keeping a close eye on top colleges and universities. The below list will be updated as more information is released.

You aren’t likely to see private colleges and universities appear on this list. Instead of relying solely on the FAFSA, they also request that students submit a CSS Profile (College Scholarship Service Profile), which helps them make their own offers of aid packages. If you are applying to a private college or university, the CSS Profile due dates are coming up quick – usually mid-February to March 1st. Be sure you fill this out to get the maximum financial aid.
